Chapter 2608 - The Thing in Voidback City
Tianming’s strike seemed far more powerful than Fu Xun’s ice-and-fire attack. As others expected, Carnage Imperatoris smashed apart Frostrime and shot toward Fu Xun himself. The frostfire dragon sword strike completely crumbled from the lightning of the imperator.
"He’s taking on two fighters at once, yet he’s able to have an edge over Fu Xun!"
"Lu Xuan isn’t able to overcome his beasts either."
"He’s definitely much stronger than he was a few years back!"
Praise for Tianming came from all over the Skydome Mundus. As his file showed that he was from the Mysterium Cluster, a random backwater, that earned him quite a lot of approval and devout fans that far outnumbered the number of followers he had on the sun by trillions.
A sixth-level world had a population of roughly ten trillion, while heliacal-class worlds alone had about one trillion. The Mysterium Cluster had tens of thousands of heliacal-class worlds, so it had more than enough people, but they lacked even a single astral god! The meteoric rise of Tianming had seemingly converted the entire cluster to be Tianming’s instead of the mysterians’, much in the same way that Violetglory was converted. The more Tianming took the spotlight in the Skydome Mundus, the more devout followers he would get. It had grown to a scale of terrifying proportions.
Alas, none of that was directly relevant to his current fight. His sword got ever closer to Fu Xun’s face. "Ill look for you in the Xenoabyss, but I won’t let you stop me from going to Voidback City."
"Hehe...." Though Fu Xun’s strike had collapsed before the might of Carnage Imperatoris, he seemed rather calm. "Is this all you’re capable of? What a waste of time."
Tianming suddenly felt that something was amiss. The one before him didn’t look like Fu Xun at all; instead, he saw a tranquil, boundless sea of white. It reminded him of Yin Chen’s dreamscape. A sea of white emerged from the Xenoworld, seemingly disobeying the universal laws and not having any fixed form, being able to shapeshift into anything. It was a boundless sea within the astralscape itself. Each and every drop contained limitless soul power. Tianming felt disoriented and confused. When he snapped out of it, Fu Xun was no longer in front of him.
Fu Xun appeared in the distance and smiled at him. "Do you want to go to Voidback City, too?"
As he spoke, he activated the tertiary simulacrum of his ancient nineflame swords: nine-segment sword-wheels! The nine swords of flame bent, connecting their points to their hilts and forming colorful wheels that flew around at blinding speeds! Tianming found them rather similar to the ships of the Star Hunters. However, the sword-wheels spun at a much faster speed, whipping up so much sword ki that the person in the midst of the totems seemed to blend together with them.
And that wasn’t the last of it. Tianming vaguely made out the sword-wheels to be seas of white. They contained a mysterious power that originated from Sixth that seemed to boost the power of the totems beyond what Fu Xun should have been capable of. Even now, Tianming still didn’t know what it wanted by going to Voidback City. Either way, it would definitely be prepared for the challenging fights to come. The sea of white began spinning faster and faster, to the point that Tianming felt a little light headed.
"That should be what I’m asking you. Didn’t you say you were going to travel and play? Why are you controlling someone to take you to Voidback City?" Tianming wasn’t afraid at all. He used his primary simulacrum, Swordheart, to fuse his totems into the Grand-Orient Sword, making it glow with blinding power that seemed to rival that of Fu Xun’s sword-wheels.
"It’s none of your business! Now, begone!" Fu Xun used a totem sword art, this time with his tertiary simulacrum, coupled with some of Sixth’s own abilities.
Tianming felt like his life was under threat! I can’t back off now. To hell with it!
Fu Xun was fighting on a level far beyond an eleventh-level orderan. Tianming grit his teeth, contemplating the two moves from the Imperator’s Mural. Those moves wouldn’t weaken just because the totems had been absorbed. Instead, they became even stronger, especially when coupled with the two cosmic impulses in the Grand-Orient Sword. All of those powers, combined with the might of Tianming’s black left arm and guided by his six streams of order, made for the most powerful attack he had ever mustered.
Boundless cosmoforce flooded into the Grand-Orient Sword. Imperator Inferno manifested as fire, standing dignified and overwhelming. Imperator Carnage manifested as lightning, exuding unparalleled ferocity and domination. The two flameyellow divinity imperatores firmamenti were almost like Tianming’s totems, seemingly taking on corporeal forms before flooding into the Grand-Orient Sword.
The moves of the Imperator’s Mural could perfectly fuse with the Grand-Orient Sword, further increasing the potency of the fire and lightning cosmic impulses within. At the same time, Tianming’s infernal and genesis orders were used to execute the fused sword art, blending the volatile elements of fire and lightning together. The divine might coming from the sword seemed like what a true ultimate ruler would unleash. Tianming’s white hair chaotically fluttered while his black and gold eyes glowed. Every single hexagonal scale on his black arm appeared incredibly imposing.
"Slash!" The heavy sword shot into the midst of the nine sword-wheels, bringing with it a torrent of blaze and blitz. The perfectly fused moves unleashed total domination. The sheer force that Frostrime had to take on would crush any eleventh-level orderan. All the sword-wheel totems eventually fractured before ultimately exploding into smithereens before Tianming’s sheer power!
He followed up with a stance shift, splitting the Grand-Orient Sword into two and piercing one into Fu Xun’s head. Back then, one strike would be enough, but against astral gods, their heptastar organs had to be crushed. The moment the black sword pierced his targets head, Tianming executed Unistrike Singularity with the gold sword, locking down five of Fu Xun’s astral organs with space itself. The moment the gold sword pierced into his body, a spatial vortex formed at the tip of the sword that sucked in the astrons of those five astral organs, only for them to be destroyed by the gold sword in the middle!
