Chapter 1994: Combinations
Ellia had her lips pursed, her arms folded. She looked away, seemingly looking into the distance instead of someone in the audience before she turned to look at Davis.
"It would be useless against you..."
Ellia hesitantly answered, causing Davis to feel more suspicious about the thought he had contrived.
Although Ellia said it in a way as if to praise him, the nuance was very different, as though she was helpless.
This made Davis recall that the usage of Time Laws here was quite... primitive.
His imagination from reading novels and watching content allowed him to understand that there were various applications of comprehending Time Laws, that one can fast-forward time, slow time, and many more, with the former two being basic abilities.
However, Davis had possessed information on the Heaven Gazing Sect’s usage of Time Laws. Most of it was for to see through the veil of space-time to use divination. Even if they were to only comprehend Time Laws, the time they could change would only be a bit slower or a bit faster. The same could be said about their people in the Ninth Stage.
He initially thought they were cultivators who just didn’t know how to truly use Time Laws even if they could comprehend it as they lacked imagination in accordance to the laws of reality, which is the source for the creation of all techniques but were those thoughts of his were wrong at this moment?
So this truly made him wonder if something was wrong within the Fifty-Two Territories. For example, were the laws here were being suppressed? Only Greater Laws?
But then, why were people able to use Space Laws to a vaster degree?
Ellia was able to display movement techniques and offensive techniques of space that even shocked the likes of the Mandate Emperor and the other Leaders who were within his scope of vision as he kept monitoring them. Therefore, he could understand that Space Laws weren’t being restricted.
The other Greater Laws, like Mandate Laws, weren’t restricted either. Neither was his Death Laws nor Life Laws, but he could attribute the latter two due to the possession and interference of Fallen Heaven. Nonetheless, most Greater Laws weren’t being suppressed as far as he could understand and speculate, so why only Time Laws?
’Hmm... I’ll have to investigate this matter later...’
For some reason, it seemed like Ellia was hesitant to say the true reason, so Davis put it at the back of his mind. He could investigate himself, but that would take more time compared to asking her or even asking Myria after subduing her, although it was not a given that she would answer honestly.
"Fine. Then show me what else you got to defeat me."
Davis uttered in a deep tone as black lightning, and crimson-golden flames erupted from his body. His essence energy kept surging out like a night tide that remained unimpeded. They were of black and crimson-gold, exhibiting the nature of his revolving core instead of the transparent essence energy that cultivators would usually surge with before changing that energy into their law attribute.
His prowess reached a mind-boggling level, causing countless people to shut their mouths as they felt the immense confidence in his voice as though he was a master checking a disciple.
Although the Emperor of Death seemed to be on the receiving end, there was not an ounce of injury on his body. This could be attributed to his powerful body that was boosted by the Earth Dragon Blood he possessed and also claimed from the Earth Dragon Queen after making her his wife.
Nonetheless, what was the Emperor of Death known for?
It was his terrifying Soul Forging Cultivation that shifted the powers of their human race. However, he hadn’t even used it yet his Essence Gathering Cultivation and Body Tempering Cultivation were already this powerful, causing them to become stumped.
But, little did they know that Fairy Myria was also holding back from using her Soul Forging Cultivation.
"As you wish."
Ellia moved, disappearing like a specter as her figure rippled in the air. Her spatial martial domain disappeared along with her, and when she reappeared, her spatial martial domain encased space of five kilometers where Davis was at the very center of it because she was also there.
At the very same moment, an explosion shook the space.
The people couldn’t see what had happened, but the Mandate Emperor and the others managed to glimpse.
Ellia’s martial domain was superimposed with fire martial domain.
However, the resulting explosion didn’t send them flying because they didn’t use any techniques; purely clashing with their essence energy turned into a basic form of offense.
Davis’s black lightning constantly sundered the spatial wave. Their apocalyptic might was nothing to be scoffed at, but they were countered by those strange spatial purple flames. It was as though they stemmed out of the void, constantly burning everything in its path. However, his destructive flames managed to destroy them, leaving them in a burned-out state as they disappeared into the void.
He was suspicious if this was another totally different comprehension of fire or was something that came from space inflicting its effects on those fires. Either way, he was thoroughly fascinated by the variety of powers she had shown him.
The grin on his lips didn’t leave his face as he was enjoying the battle.
The Blazing Thunderlight Kirin’s fire and lightning were truly powerful. Even without having its true essence blood, he was displaying an enormous amount of prowess that equaled the likes of true immortal inheritors, while Myria’s comprehension of laws was already top-tier from his point of view, for she was capable of displaying various effects of the same laws.
If he absorbed the third drop of Blazing Thunderlight Kirin’s Blood Essences he had obtained, his power would also increase proportionately. However, if he absorbed the true essence blood in the future, wouldn’t he be able to skip a level?
He had already climbed five levels to battle in Essence Gathering Cultivation, so to reach six levels was an impossible concept but seemed achievable if he could obtain it. He mused that if he were to battle Isabella at the same level, he knew for a fact that her prowess wouldn’t be much more than him because of his Extreme Mutated Revolving Core.
However, by the time he could obtain the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin’s True Essence Blood, which doesn’t seem optimistic as there was already someone who inherited it, he would have crossed stages, and subsequently, his prowess would also lessen in accordance with the widening gap between the subsequent levels.
Being able to cross six levels wasn’t a sight that he could see unless he created a Supreme Immortal Rune and digested the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin’s True Blood Essence in the Law Rune Stage.
By then, he could exceed even the prowess of someone who possessed a Supreme Immortal Rune like him if he found any in the immortal world.
Nonetheless, this made Davis wonder if there was something like the Extreme Mutated Revolving Core. For example, something more exquisite and powerful than a Perfect Foundation of Body Tempering Cultivation. If he could find that, perhaps, his Body Tempering Cultivation could also see a six-level increase in prowess.
After all, he already possessed the True Essence Blood of the Earth Dragon because of dual cultivating with Isabella. If he could obtain such a powerful foundation, then he could share it with Isabella as well, almost allowing her to display tremendous prowess as him.
*Boom!~*
Space and light-filled the world, but they met the same fate of being destroyed by his fire and lightning.
Whether it was Space Laws and Wind Laws, Space Laws and Fire Laws or Space Laws and Light Laws, none of them were in the realm of fusion. At most, their intertwining that proceeded to attack him could be called a combination, just like his fire and lightning.
Otherwise, Ellia’s prowess would’ve increased enough to force him to use his Soul Forging Cultivation.
Although Ellia seemed to have more of these combinations up her sleeves, Davis felt that this was enough. Even he couldn’t handle the visual shock she had given, so the audience was already numb to her display.
After all, from this day onwards, a woman named Fairy Myria had completely flipped their views on how to use one’s energy. However, those who try to imitate her would inevitably be met with failures and crippled bodies because they didn’t possess her attributeless dantians. But, they certainly came to know that such a concept was possible.
*Boom!~*
Space shuddered, and innumerable blades in them were destroyed. Crimson-gold flames and black lightning emerged, filling the space with its intensity, causing destruction in its path.
Ellia retreated at this moment as Davis almost got her cornered. With her martial energy becoming less and less as they fought for ten minutes straight without a single point of rest, he was constantly gaining the advantage.
"Ellia, it’s time to end this..."
Davis’s voice grew solemn, causing Ellia’s pupils to constrict before she wryly smiled.
"So little time... I wish I had more..."
*Rumble!~*
Spatial ripples became rampant around Ellia, filling the five-kilometer space. However, the peculiar thing was there was another kind of martial domain whose color blended with the spatial martial domain.
One wouldn’t be able to perceive it without capable senses, but Davis was able to, his pupils constricting into tiny slits as he saw the temporal effects in her area of martial domain.
It was the combination of space-time!
