Chapter 2866 Another Source?
Davis sighed as he returned his gaze to Isabella.
"We will talk later. I’m also interested in that... woman so I can beat Dead End one day."
Davis pointed at Nadia, causing her to frown. Isabella and the others also frowned, but before they could say anything, they saw Mo Tian pounce onto the battle stage, appearing before the red-haired man with utter confidence flashing in his smile.
"You are?"
"Young Master of the Rubyshroud Family, Haizen Rubyshroud."
Davis’s brows raised, recognizing him from a rumor. He couldn’t help but smile again.
"Are you the strongest one here?"
"You could say that." Haizen Rubyshroud raised his chin, looking down on everything.
Davis turned to look at the others and saw that they didn’t have much reaction to Haizen Rubyshroud claiming to be number one here. With that, he guessed that they might’ve come to a consensus, or he was really the strongest heavenly genius present here.
"Then that’s good. It would help me climb to the top in an instant rather than going through weaklings one by one."
Davis rubbed the bridge of his nose, appearing amused, but he closed one of his eyes, "And then... which one of the fairies are you after that I offended you? I at least want to know how I got here, right?"
Haizen Rubyshroud narrowed his eyes. He stared at Mo Tian but didn’t respond but turned to look at someone from the crowd.
"Fairy Selene Lunaris. Do you really prefer him over me? Even after twenty years of pursuing you while showing extreme sincerity?"
The woman in question didn’t seem moved, but her beauty, when gazed at, still left almost every man breath-taken.
Her eyes were still crystal clear as she opened her mouth, "Haizen Rubyshroud, you’re not the only one who is pursuing me. Should I reveal the thousands of gifts I get for no reason other than simply existing? Your affection isn’t something I need, just like the Saint doesn’t need my affection. Don’t be so full of yourself. Stop your foolishness before your power admonishes you."
By the end, Fairy Selene Lunaris’s voice sounded a bit annoyed.
Haizen Rubyshroud clenched his teeth. He turned his gaze at glared at Mo Tian.
"Now you see how you got yourself here but don’t worry."
He smiled, "I know not to harm the Saint as neither me, my Rubyshroud Family, nor the Crimson Sangreal Alliance wants to offend you, but this is... personal, so I hope this exchange wouldn’t extend further than the battle stage."
"That’s fine, but you think you can hold back while fighting me?"
Davis’s lips curled, but Haizen Rubyshroud radiated a similar confidence.
"You’ll see. Shall we begin?"
"Whenever you want."
Davis shrugged.
*Boom!~*
A burst of red light smashed onto Mo Tian, sending him flying.
"Saint!"
Shea Goldsun held her mouth as she screamed out loud, but the next moment she saw Mo Tian land with his arms crossed, appearing unharmed.
Davis resumed his normal posture as he waved his hands freely.
"So this is the Crimson Twilight Physique’s light. It really packs a punch, but... not enough."
"Quit acting tough." Young Master Joren Cherryweave sneered, "The person before you won the Crimson Sangreal Alliance’s Younger Generation Competition last year. Not only is he the strongest youth in the Crimson Sangreal Alliance, but due to the fact that he was born with the Crimson Twilight Physique like his Founder, he is unmatched in the same realm. Do you know why?"
"I don’t need to."
Mo Tian blinked, causing Young Master Joren Cherryweave to lose his smile.
"Damn it! You’re too arrogant. Haizen, teach him a lesson! Teach him that the world of Saints and heavenly geniuses are different!"
He roared, causing Haizen Rubyshroud to smilingly shake his head, finding himself pitying Joren Cherryweave. At least, Fairy Selene Lunaria didn’t show any public display of affection to Saint Mo Tian, but Young Master Joren Cherryweave’s ex-fiancee, Fairy Aila Cherryweave, had publicly confessed.
Of course, Fairy Aila Cherryweave had long proved herself in combat and influence that she had made the marriage agreement created for them at their young age disappear, so Young Master Joren Cherryweave couldn’t marry Fairy Aila Cherryweave unless he obtained her permission, but from a young age, he did love her and continue to love her even with the annulled marriage agreement.
Therefore, to see her seek another man, he knew that it should have completely infuriated Young Master Joren Cherryweave.
"That was just a probing move. Please be careful of my next attack, Saint Mo Tian."
Haizen Rubyshroud grinned as he pointed at Mo Tian. A crimson light appeared on the tip of his index finger, swirling before it became a tiny sphere.
The sound of air searing could be heard as the air distorted around him, but the next moment, a ray of crimson light shot across the battle stage. It appeared like a light of calamity, capable of wreaking immense havoc as it shrouded the atmosphere in a dull crimson hue.
*Pang!~*
The ray of light shattered right before Mo Tian, who seemed to stay still, causing Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud’s gaze to widen in shock.
No matter how he imagined, this single move of his should’ve been enough to send Saint Mo Tian flying, but he didn’t. It also didn’t seem like any defensive talisman had activated, so why was he standing still, looking unharmed?
"Indeed."
Abruptly, Mo Tian’s voice resounded as he closed his eyes and nodded, "You have a Heaven Immortal Vessel, which is becoming quite common as everyone here seems to possess one."
He opened his eyes, appearing excited, "Truly a congregation of heavenly geniuses, but with that, the advantage the Heaven Immortal Vessel gives is close to none, but you have an Immortal Physique known as the Crimson Twilight Physique, giving you an additional prowess of one level, so I also assume that you have managed to create Supreme Rune, Crest, and Sigil before crossing to the Immortal Stage even if you’re an immortal child, allowing you to cross two more levels, which altogether allows you to cross six levels higher."
*Clap~* *Clap~* *Clap~*
Mo Tian clapped three times, his expression brimming with a wide smile, "The light of the Crimson Twilight Physique is truly amazing, giving you an additional prowess of one more level with its uniqueness, allowing you to easily climb seven levels higher. I heard that even Nyx Godwin of the Godwin Family, who was known for his Destruction Laws, could only reach that kind of level when not using his full power. It is no wonder you easily won the Crimson Sangreal Alliance’s Younger Generation Competition. Truly respectable."
"...!" A vein erupted on Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud’s expression.
"Are you mocking me!? How did you block my move? Did you dodge- no, then there is no way it could’ve shattered if you had dodged."
"You still don’t realize it?"
Davis spread his hands, "What do you think happens when a rock hits a denser surface?"
"It shatters." Resounded a melodious voice from the crowd.
"Exactly. A hundred points for you, miss whoever you are."
The Echopeak Family Young Mistress’s lips twitched. She was also an extremely strong individual from the Crimson Sangreal Alliance who could reach five levels higher easily, so to be called ’whoever you are’ was plainly offensive, but then her expression froze, realizing Saint Mo Tian’s meaning.
"Wait... it couldn’t be..."
Her lips quivered as she uttered, causing everyone’s gaze to be shaken.
Without straining himself, they knew Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud could reach seven levels higher, so when he became serious, it was highly possible for him to reach eight levels higher, but he had never shown it because he had no need to.
However, that same Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud was appearing shocked right now, looking at Mo Tian with a solemn gaze as though he had truly realized who he was facing.
’You’re telling me that you indeed took the hit fair and square, but it didn’t do any damage at all...?’
Indeed, Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud was now thinking how tough his white-robed man’s physical body was, coming to understand that the words he uttered back in the banquet were not a lie. If this was his true power, then he imagined that Mo Tian was indeed capable of battling Dead End, who was estimated to have a prowess of eight levels higher at the very least due to his extraordinary anarchic nature.
Once he realized Saint Mo Tian’s true power, his gaze changed.
"Any more than this is not worth it. You have my respect, Saint Mo Tian, but I haven’t given up on Fairy Selene Lunaris."
Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud harrumphed and turned around, leaving.
Davis’s brows narrowed. The other party was not going to use his full power for fear of killing him or offending him?
Somehow, he didn’t like this status as a Saint as that put him in a position where he couldn’t pursue a battle, a battle that truly had his heart racing as he wanted more.
After all, he did mean every single one of his words when praising Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud. He had come into contact with Destruction Laws, so he knew for a fact that this Crimson Twilight Physique had the potential to turn into something greater, something more calamitous as it indeed held a sliver of destruction property in it!
Naturally, he wanted to see it more to comprehend its essence and even obtain this physique’s blood for research, but he hadn’t thought about how to go about it yet.
’Well, it’s not time for doing other things...’
But even though he wanted to learn Destruction Laws so much, he knew it was not the right moment.
He turned to look back at Isabella, but he was shaken on top of the stage as a thunderous roar emanated from the crowd.
"Incredible! Just how tough is your physical body!?"
"Ahh! Saint Mo Tian, you’re so cool!"
"How... how is a Saint this powerful...? No... no way..."
Many were excited, but at the same time, many who prided themselves felt their determination suffer, for they had dedicated their entire lives to the path of cultivation yet couldn’t match a Saint whose only favorable point was that they could save lives better than any people.
