The Li’s residence enjoyed peace since everyone slept early behind the closed gate. They were used to the ghastly matters and never left the door.
One particular pavilion was lit up with two people sitting inside - Li Qiye and Li Xian.
The latter prepared tea for Li Qiye while occasionally glancing out of the window. Li Qiye, on the other hand, savored the hot tea while enjoying the moment.
Meanwhile, the four young saints stood outside, waiting for the fiends’ arrival. They were strong but knew better than to underestimate the opponent, having formed a proper formation.
Once the time came, the yin winds appeared again and candles flickered. It made everyone think that figures were hiding in the shadows.
"It’s time." Li Xian couldn’t be more familiar with this scene but wasn’t afraid.
"It’s here." The group’s leader, Orchidcore Young n.o.ble, dad a serious expression: "Exercise vigilance and do not pursue recklessly."
They looked up and saw dark clouds as the winds surrounded them. Even heavenly gazes couldn’t see through the darkness.
As the winds intensified and wailed, they almost formed a storm. Of course, the young but experienced group was not afraid.
"Prepare for battle!" Orchidcore shouted and released his face palaces and vitality. Dao true energy emerged and formed barriers around him.
He summoned an old bronze mirror with both hands. He poured his dao power and true blood into it.
The mirror lit up, resembling an eye slowly opening.
"Reveal yourself!" He chanted while forming mudras.
A snow-white beam erupted from the surface and aimed for the tornado.
"Rumble!" His clan’s heirloom had no effect to his astonishment. Nevertheless, he didn’t give up and shouted: "Dragons and phoenixes!"
The whole mirror lit up, not just the gla.s.s surface. The engravings of dragons and phoenixes became brighter than the mirror itself.
The roars and screeches of the mythical creatures echoed as one dragon and phoenix flew out, unleas.h.i.+ng their b.e.s.t.i.a.l auras to destroy the tornado.
They formed a sphere to increase the light’s intensity before rus.h.i.+ng for the tornado again. Their light attempted to split the clouds apart.
Alas, this was still ineffective against the tornado and dark clouds. His formidable cultivation and amazing treasure were of no use.
"Overwhelming Radiance, Frost!" Princess Chen was surprised to see the talented genius failing at his task.
She joined the fray and released holy rays, seemingly possessed by a sacred being of light.
"Such purity!" Li Xian shouted: "Fiends must be afraid of this."
Cultivation aside, his knowledge exceeded ordinary cultivators. Given his talent and previous mantra, he couldn’t have created such a mighty light.
The rays from her had a purifying effect, capable of eradicating anything fiendish and foul.
"Haven’t seen this light in a long time." Li Qiye smiled and was pleased to see her light. The art came from an ancient being but most importantly, someone Li Qiye was too familiar with.
Her rays successfully overwhelmed the darkness and made the yin winds no longer as terrifying. They also froze anything foul upon contact.
