Chapter 2857 Of The Future
"Members of the Dragon Alliance, Phoenix Alliance, Spirit Alliances, Human Alliances, and other alliances, I greet everyone on behalf of the Central Primesky Alliance. Many thanks for inviting us."
The Zyrus Family Patriarch, Yinakin Zyrus, greeted the people gathered with a bright smile on his face.
"..."
There was little response from the crowd.
Most knew that the Central Primesky Alliance’s Leader was supposed to be the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, so its Patriarch should be the foremost representative of it if they were to be any sincere, but since that foremost representative, Fenren Jadelight was near Saint Mo Tian, acting like a faithful bodyguard, no one managed to speak to Saint Mo Tian, and the Zyrus Family Patriarch got the reins to speak on behalf of them.
At the same time, the discussion didn’t stop, moving across the board as the alliances talked about the aftermath of the Candidacy.
However, the conversation only went to and fro, not settling at anything but considering talks had just started, not many people tried to settle at a place, leaving leeway to exist no matter how the conversation moved.
But still, there were three major points that were brought up during the discussion.
First, the status of the First Haven World in accordance with the true immortal world.
After all, there was a chance that this world would be completely opened after the Candidacy, allowing more and more immortals to descend as previous cases existed in the legends, not to mention the recent Calamity Light that wreaked havoc upon the world, although it was quickly brought to a stop as soon as it came.
Second, whether this world would still exist after the Candidacy.
As ancient Candidacy powers, they were very clear when they came to this world, it was for the sole purpose of fulfilling their powers’ wishes as they took part in the Candidacy and won it. However, with how much time had passed, they didn’t know if their powers were still even bothered about this mission or the realm, but not even one of them dared to mention that.
The only one who dared to put forward that kind of thinking was the Blazing Thunderlight Sect’s Founder, but she was quickly silenced by the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin Clan.
Nonetheless, the discussion moved on to the third point, that...
... if the First Haven World does continue to exist, which power should reign supremacy? The winner of the Candidacy or a group of alliances predetermined before the Candidacy, no matter the result?
Davis listened to all this, but for some reason, they never, not even once, mentioned the World Master. It was like that person didn’t even exist in their realm of comprehension, but with Saintess Lunaria and the Frostcloud Sword Empress indirectly giving him some pointers, he knew that such a person existed, not to mention his own experiences with Fallen Heaven.
But perhaps for the same heaven-forbidden reason as them, he also didn’t mention a word about World Master, not that he was in a position to do so as he was supposed to be a young, ignorant Saint.
He couldn’t start talking about the secrets of this world, could he?
"-ludicrous! Just because the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance is known as the most powerful alliance, why should they rule this world that belongs to many, not only the Candidate Powers? There are many other alliances that could join hands and become equals with the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance. For example, the entire Southern Divide excluding dragons and phoenixes, could very well take on your alliance if they were to team up."
"But they aren’t in a coalition for a reason, so what are you trying to instigate, Patriarch Asta Rubyshroud?"
Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder asked with his brows raised, his hands spread while he stood on top of the stage as he took over the conversation after Patriarch Killian Zenflame.
Davis could see that he had come out of the shock that was Isabella, and just like this, he was also being ignored currently as though the time to talk about him was later. Now, a heated discussion was ongoing for the supremacy of the First Haven World, one that he could see every alliance wanted a part in it, no matter the cost, even his own Central Primesky Alliance.
"Instigate?" The one who was called Patriarch Asta Rubyshroud smiled as though he heard something amusing.
He wore a red crown on his head and wore an emperor-like crimson robe that was befitting of him. It didn’t look disoriented at all but perfectly fit his figure, giving him immense charisma over the gaze of thousands of immortals.
pnd`no1--o "What is there for me to instigate? If the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance together are going to seize control over the First Haven World, then it would be a foregone conclusion that every other alliance would have a reason to team up even with all their differences. Otherwise, we couldn’t hope to be able to resist your massive force, could we?"
"In fact, what do I need to hide? My Crimson Sangreal Alliance, Rumbling Firmament Alliance, and the Unfettered Skies Alliance have already had some talks over this matter, and so have the spirits with each other. I’m sure you can tell this much occurred with your intelligence network, no?"
"..."
The members of the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance had solemn expressions on their faces.
It was true that they had a big and insurmountable alliance, but if the entire world were to bare its fangs against them, then the losses would be great for them to act haughty.
With that in mind, they needed to make a better decision and have the entire First Haven World accept them as rulers of their own volition. Otherwise, force didn’t seem to be an option.
"Heh! You can talk about these scenarios all you want, but it would never come to fruition."
However, there were also some people with opinions that these alliances would never reach that level, like the Fire Dragon Patriarch, who sneered with immense confidence etched on his face.
After all, if these lowly powers could reach that level, they would’ve reached that long ago and not waited until it was time to bow their heads.
"Now, now... don’t go overboard. You’re all forgetting that there is another power that never showed its cards but still has an enormous presence across the First Haven World whenever they choose to pay a visit outside."
The Light Phoenix Patriarch raised his hands and mediated the flow of conversation, but his words struck a chord as many turned to look in a direction, their gazes falling on Elders from the Aurora Cloud Gate.
"That’s right. The Aurora Cloud Gate..."
The Aurora Cloud Gate was a single power, yet how it could collapse the likes of the Godwin Family that owned a Domain was beyond them.
It had to be known that the individual powers of the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance themselves didn’t possess Domains except a few, but that could still be attributed to their low birth count and not needing much space as they occupied rich lands with copious amounts of resources.
However, when a power that possessed a Domain like the Fire Dragon Clan warred with the Godwin Family, the war would go on for centuries with no end in sight, yet the Aurora Cloud Gate decimated and leveled their structures in a week’s time.
The victor was clear, with the loser left to run around for their lives while avoiding the enemies they made in their glorious eras.
Such power truly left everyone shaken, but with the inheritors’ reminder, it also became apparent why as they came to understand that was once the main and sole supreme ruler of the First Haven World as they had brought peace to the world under Saintess Lunaria’s banner.
It was the first power her eminence created, making them aware after a long time of just what kind of power the Aurora Cloud Gate was.
They could only assume these people had hidden thoroughly along with the passage of time because there was no way they could forget to learn such a piece of important information.
"Well, our Aurora Cloud Gate has received no words from our superiors as to what to do with the Candidacy or its aftermath. All we want is peace within our lands, and if it is disrupted, we will merely take action necessary to protect ourselves."
The lead External Affairs Department Elder answered everyone’s gaze, simply leaving them to feel doubtful.
After all, there were many powers unearthing themselves from hidden spaces, forming their own secret alliances, so how trustable were the Aurora Cloud Gate’s words?
They didn’t know and felt uncertain of the future.
