Absolute Resonance Chapter 1326: Golden Peng Guardians, Zhao Baisun

Zhao Qianjun's eyes shrunk slightly as he indifferently said, "It looks like you're not willing to share."

He sighed, giving the other party a look full of pity. "Since that is the case, I can only pry it from your dead corpses and take away all of your Foundational Spirit Treasures."

Li Foluo's gaze turned chilly. "You're pretty good at talking big."

Zhao Qianjun raised his head and glanced at the disappearing Other Dominion around him. The environment around him was turning illusory, and it became a location where others could join in.

"Our squad alone won't be able to devour you."

Zhao Qianjun then slowly enunciated his next words. "However, I'd like to remind you that I've long asked for reinforcements. Although you sent out a signal for help, our friends should be one step ahead."

As his words echoed, a group emanating boundless amounts of resonant power rushed into the sky from a distant clump of mountains. They flew so fast that they left a trail of light in their wake. They stopped in the air just above the bickering squads.

The person at the front was a skinny man with a head full of white hair. His eyes were sunken in and he had an aquiline nose that gave him a particularly ruthless appearance. What stood out were his hands, which looked broad and sharp.

When Li Foluo saw him, his expression changed. "Golden Peng Guardian General Zhao Baisun!"

The squad that had come to reinforce the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao was none other than the Golden Peng Guardians of the Ten Thousand Beast Armies. The Guardian General was a lower fourth-grade Duke, and behind him was a squad of experts.

In terms of strength, the opponents now had two Guardian Generals and their respective squads, clearly intent on crus.h.i.+ng them.

"Ah, Li Foluo. It's been a while," Zhao Baisun said, directly positioning himself and his squad in Li Foluo's path of retreat. A dark and stern smile was plastered on his face as he greeted Li Foluo.

Zhao Qianjun then crossed his arms and calmly said, "Li Foluo, I gave you a chance, but you didn't take it. If you wish to give in now, a single high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasure will not be enough."

Li Foluo's face turned gloomy. "Zhao Qianjun, if you want to eat us up, then the Divine Tiger Guardians will have to pay the necessary price. Who knows how many other medium Other Dominions are waiting to be harvest? Do you really want to cripple yourself now?"

"Li Foluo, those threatening words need not be said. The enmity between our bloodlines is deep, and since we hold the advantage now, how could we so easily let you go?" Zhao Qianjun replied while shaking his head.

He was merciless and decisive. When he saw that Zhao Baisun had arrived, he had already made his choice. They would send the Dragon's Fang Guardians packing.

"Furthermore, we won't allow you to drag things out until your reinforcements arrive." Zhao Qianjun took a step forward, and his four humongous Duke Bergfrieds manifested in the sky. They emitted frightening amounts of resonant power that swept outwards like a tide. Then he glanced at Zhao Baisun.

Zhao Baisun took immediate action. His own Duke Bergfrieds also appeared above him, but in terms of scale, they were smaller than Zhao Qianjun's.

That said, it was clear he was a bonafide fourth-grade Duke.

"Li Foluo, although two-versus-one isn't very honorable, if you want to blame anyone, you can blame the Heavenly Dragon's Five Guardian Armies for being too slow." Zhao Baisun sneered. It looked like they were planning to join hands to get rid of Li Foluo immediately.

A few other squads had left the Other Dominion they were just in. They quickly left the vicinity, secretly spying from the dark as they watched the battle between the two Heavenly Emperor powers. If these groups chose to fight to the death, there would be opportunities to pick up the sc.r.a.ps.

Furthermore, Li Foluo's rewards from the Other Dominion had attracted the avaricious gazes of these observers.

It looked like the Dragon's Fang Guardians were at a disadvantage, and it was likely that the two high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasures would land in the hands of Zhao Qianjun and Zhao Baisun.

Li Foluo tightly gripped his halberd, and boiling resonant power drifted into the air above. The situation wasn't looking great as the opponent's overall strength was far superior to theirs.

He then glanced at Jiang Qing'e, Li Luo, and Li Hongyou. "I'll hold back Zhao Qianjun and Zhao Baisun. The rest of you will have to find your own opponents. If the situation goes south, protect your own lives. You are the future of the Dragon's Fang Guardians, so there's no need to fall here."

"Guardian General, don't you think that trying to settle future matters at the drop of a thumb is a pretty bad habit?" Li Luo grinned.

Li Foluo glared at him. This wasn't the time to be joking.

Jiang Qing'e said in a low voice, "I'll deal with Zhao Baisun, Zhao Jiyun, and the last Envoy from the Golden Peng Guardians. Guardian General, you just have to focus on Zhao Qianjun. Hongyou, I will have to trouble you to a.s.sist Li Luo; he will have to block quite a few of them."

Li Luo had to deal with Zhao Zhuoyan, Zhao Zhu, and the two Grand Commanders from the Golden Peng Guardians. That would be four Dukes, and two of them were at the Second Duke Stage. This meant that the enemies he would have to face were multiple times stronger than the four True Devils.

Li Luo then hurriedly replied, "You can give Zhao Jiyun to me as well. There's no need to be concerned about Zhao Zhuoyan and the rest of them anyways. I don't need Senior Hongyou's support here. She can help out the Guardian General, and with her a.s.sistance, you should be able to completely suppress Zhao Qianjun."

Meanwhile, Li Foluo was completely left in disbelief at their words.

"You're only a first-grade Duke; how can you handle a fourth-grade?" Li Foluo couldn't help but ask. Jiang Qing'e had a Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried, but as far as he was aware, she could only handle an upper third-grade Duke at most.

"I've made some progress in my cultivation and have improved."

Jiang Qing'e gave an absolutely beautiful albeit small smile as she gripped the hilt of her heavy sword. "I'm invincible when fighting against anyone beneath the fourth-grade, though I can hold my own against fourth-grade Dukes. If I push myself, I can deal with much more."

Li Foluo paused. Those words sounded sounded like they had come from Li Luo's mouth, not hers!

"You've reached the upper First Duke Stage?"

Jiang Qing'e nodded.

This was unbelievable to him. "I can't believe you're so strong now. It looks like you could've taken me down a while ago."

Jiang Qing'e curiously glanced at him. "When we arrived at the World's End River Region, Li Luo and I were ambushed and you came to save us. Why would I want to take our benefactor down?"

Li Foluo was left speechless at her reply. He had the feeling that if he had not rescued them in the beginning, then perhaps there might have been a change of Guardian Generals once they entered the Dragon's Fang Guardians.

However, Jiang Qing'e concealing her strength had turned out to be a blessing in disguise. At the very least, it would greatly abate the pressure on them.

Li Foluo pointed his finger at Li Luo and asked suspiciously, "Then how about you? You even dared to say that you could deal with Zhao Jiyun? That's an upper third-grade Duke! You couldn't even deal with Zhao Zhuoyan, so how are you planning to fight Zhao Jiyun? And without Li Hongyou's help?"

"It looks like you've forgotten that I have a Duke Stage spirit beast with me, Guardian General." Li Luo flashed a harmless and radiant smile and lightly tapped on his scarlet braclet. The Six-tailed Heavenly Wolf yawned at this moment. It then released an incredibly majestic and ferocious energy that poured into Li Luo's body like a torrent.

Li Foluo's eyes shrunk a little when he felt the energy undulations. This was comparable to a third-grade Duke, and the energy had exploded like a tempest from Li Luo's body.

This sight left him numb.

He now understood that these two generals beneath him had concealed their strength, one deeper than the other!
